Where we fund emergency interventions we look at new ways of supporting people to thrive long term, beyond just the initial crisis. This is in line with our ethos of looking for sustainable solutions and innovations. We respond where there is the greatest need and wherever possible use our established in country partners to support the communities in the immediate need and through recovery. Our work on emergencies includes:

  • Food relief in Yemen coupled with setting up of a bakery to provide a source of income and in country sustainable food supplies
  • Emergency supplies for communities surviving flooding in Pakistan with long term partners in the region
  • Laptops and food parcels in partnership with food banks in and around London during the Covid-19 pandemic
