Food parcels for Ramadhan or all year round food independence?
#SDG2 Zero Hunger – good nutrition and hunger are a vital everyday issue for so many people around the globe every day.
Yet interventions seem to be seasonal like Ramadhan and headline grabbing droughts when the need for food carries on all year round as we know from our own lives.
With the LFTs focus on ensuring that water projects implement an irrigation program to enable communities to be able to become independent of the need for food distribution.
In Pakistan over 150 farms of up to 5 acres haven been highly successful with your continued generosity.
Beyond the families becoming sustainable good produce fetches them better income in the local markets too.
In addition, nutritious food becomes far more accessible to local communities at a far lower price.
From March 2022 we will be designers to offer this to our brothers and sisters in various rural locations in Afghanistan π¦π« including Bamiyan and Ghazni.
In addition to Mothernomics in Kabul this will drive independence for so many more families who can directly live off the land and create additional food resources.
So as we prepare for the Holy Month of Ramadhan just think how many families you would like to provide food for, not just this Ramadhan but all year round?
