LFT Karbala Iraq 🇮🇶- our affiliation with the Imam al Hujjah hospital in Karbala is a long running one and an area where building capacity In Opthalmologist Radiology renal care and most recently cardiology has been a priority.

Our long standing friend, Dr Riyaz Kaba, a consultant cardiologist who visited the Imam al Hujjah hospital in Karbala three years ago and recommended an ECG machine be acquired and used today saw the life saving impacts it was having first hand.

He’s identified an intra aortic balloon pump that would assist in clearing blockage in the artery and assist recovery from surgery that he’d like the hospital to have. It will cost $80,000 which is £58,750.

The way this would help poor patients is that they wouldn’t be charged for the surgery.

Any afford any patients would then supplement the poor cases so the use always remains a charitable or charity supporting one regardless of the patient’s ability to pay.
