LFT Karbala, Iraq 🇮🇶 – over the past few days many pilgrims to Karbala have been visiting the Mothernomics workshop to see for themselves the empowerment of the widowers and single mothers and purchase quality items from them to help them earn a more dignified living.
This model of empowerment is wonderful to see in action and iA scale up and replicate over many other areas we serve as over time it reduces the number of mothers needing financial support from charity.
It also drives the aspirations of the orphaned children seeing the mothers succeed to be more motivated in what they want to achieve in their own lives.
In fact over the past years the mothers have continued to receive mental health ans emotional well-being support from local staff who are trained and empowered to help the mothers and their children every single day of the year. These emotional well-being coaches are now coordinating their support at local schools too so the care of orphaned children and their widowed mothers isnt in isolation to their day to day activities.
This way transformation can be interwoven into their daily activities to support each step they take in rebuilding their fragmented lives.
True empowerment is what you are enabling today and every other day of their lives.
