As tragic scenes unfold all over Afghanistan with the Taliban fighters regaining territories they have been held back from in some cases for 20 years. This picture was taken by some of the 300 Hazara families fleeing Malistan in Hazarajat over the past few weeks.

With your assistance the LFT is able to support them with emergency supplies whilst they rebuild their lives in Kabul.

The human rights consences of the Taliban’s advance are likely to be appalling.

There are already reports that the Taliban are carrying out summary executions and forcing girls into sex slavery in areas that it has recaptured.

Prominent Afghan women have often been targeted in Taliban attacks.

In the 20 years since the fall of the Taliban, millions of Afghan girls have been able to go to school. The fears of this marginal advancement being reversed are now prevalent.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
