International Women’s Day 2021 – Honouring Mothers of children with different abilities
On International Women’s Day – 8 March 2021, at the LFT we honour the work of the mothers who raise children with different abilities.
Growing our work with the Atfaluna School for deaf children in Gaza in 2020 we widened the access that children different hearing needs required with the delivery of an e-learning platform that not only curricular learning but enabled emotional and well being support to the whole of the family.
As this work continues to grow, we are pleased to start work in 2021 to support the families of children with long term medical needs like diabetes with a well-being clinic scoped to help with the diagnosis, medication and management of long term care of diabetes and associates complications.
Throughout our #MillionMothers campaign from supporting safe births, improving access to water and food sources, the education of children with different needs, mothernomics and emotional well-being, the work of the LFT honours women all year round as the pillars of our communities on which the foundations of a strong society are built.
Thank you for all the support you provide to enable to make this a reality.
